Rigid Bikes

A hardtail is quite simply a bike with front suspension but no back suspension. Hardtails are almost always mountain bikes but there are occasions where cruiser or comfort bikes will make use of some type of front suspension.Hardtails are great for a rider who likes to ride around town as well as ride off-road trails. They bridge the gap between rigid bikes and full suspension bikes. The front wheel (in theory) always makes contact with bumps, roots, and rocks before any other part of the bike. Putting suspension on the front will cushion the main blow taking out a lot of the harshness from the impact. People coming from rigid bikes are amazed by how much of a difference a suspension fork can make.

All about Full Suspension

Full Suspension

A full-suspension bike is a bike that involves front and rear suspension. The amount of suspension on a full suspension bike can differ greatly depending on the type of riding that you are doing. Full suspension bikes are also always mountain bikes. Riders who find themselves riding rough off-road trails regularly will find that a full-suspension bike will most likely fit the bill for them. Full suspension bikes are ridden for leisure and racing more than they are for transportation

All about Electric bikes

ELECTRIC BIKES

An electric bicycle is a motorized bicycle with an integrated electric motor used to assist propulsion. Many kinds of e-bikes are available worldwide, but they generally fall into two broad categories: bikes that assist the rider's pedal-power and bikes that add a throttle, integrating moped-style functionality. Both retain the ability to be pedaled by the rider and are therefore not electric motorcycles.

All about Road Bikes

ROAD BIKES

The term road bicycle is used to describe bicycles built for traveling at speed on paved roads. Some sources use the term to mean racing bicycle. Other sources specifically exclude racing bicycles from the definition, using the term to mean a bicycle of a similar style but built more for endurance and less the fast bursts of speed desired in a racing bicycle; as such, they usually have more gear combinations and fewer hi-tech racing features. Certain of these bicycles have been referred to as 'sportive' bicycles to distinguish them from racing bicycles.

MOUNTAIN COMPETITIONS

CROSS-CPUNTRY

Cross-country racing is held on a varied terrain circuit, it is normally around 6-8 kilometers (km) and is always a massed-start race.

DOWNHILL

Downhill racing is a time trial event. Riders start at intervals that can vary from 30 seconds to three minutes-depending on the stage of the competition - and the rider with the lowest time wins. As the name of this discipline implies, DH races are held in steep, downhill terrain, resulting in higher speed than in cross-country racing

SUPER D

Super D is a blend of cross-country and downhill. Most of the race is downhill, on trails similar to the downhill segment of a cross-country race. There are also short (100–500m) uphill sections which make the use of downhill bicycles difficult, as a result, most riders use cross-country or 'trail bikes'.

FREERIDE

Freeride competitions are not so much a race as they are a competition of skill and style. Courses contain varying cliffs, drops, obstacles, and ramps.

ENDURO

>Enduro in its most basic definition is a type of mountain bike racing where the downhills are timed, and the uphills are not.Riders are timed in stages that are primarily downhill, with neutral "transfer" stages in between. The transfer stages usually must be completed within a time-limit, but are not part of the accumulated time. The winner is the rider who accumulates the lowest combined time from the timed downhill sections.

Road Bikes

>Road bicycle racing is the cycle sport discipline of road cycling, held on paved roads. Road racing is the most popular professional form of bicycle racing, in terms of numbers of competitors, events and spectators. The two most common competition formats are mass start events, where riders start simultaneously and race to a set finish point; and time trials, where individual riders or teams race a course alone against the clock
